I played when it was still just a WIP. Was the story finished?
Thanks a ton for the playthrough, your voiceover was pretty cool! I actually just wrapped up the story recently. If you ever feel like giving it another go, the full version’s up!
I think I will, soon!
I really liked this game! The MC story is something that is mysterious and slowly unravels itself, I feel like this man who killed those women is playing with his head as he is trying to get in. I do see that this is an RPG more towards a visual novel, I liked that the characters were not defined exactly, just by colors between their dialogues, which gives us a that intrigue of what they must be feeling like. Instead we get that through the dialogue and music which I personally like. I'd love to see where the story goes!
Thanks a lot for playing! Writing the back and forth was really fun, and the silhouettes helped me keep things abstract without going too graphic, and also lean more into ambience. I’m afraid this might be the end of Eddy’s road though!
This was excellent. The antagonist's slow manipulation of the protagonist was something very engaging to experience.
Especially how it culminated in the end.
Glad you liked it! I’m really happy with how it turned out too.
It's really good! I am immediately intrigued, and the style you employ in the visuals is amazing. Color-matching the characters' silhouettes with their dialogues are a good call. It helps me easily establish the people and that this is really focused on the personalities moving the story. There's definitely a lot you can do with this format moving forward.
The story was great so far. I'm not sure what you have in mind for it just yet, but admittedly the pacing in the confrontation between Eddy and the suspect was a bit too sudden for me. Then again, it's a demo, so I can forgive it, haha.
I wish I really could do more than be a passive reader. I can't help but want to reach through the screen, immerse myself in Eddy's world, and be more involved.
Overall, amazing work! Keep it up!Really appreciate the feedback! The silhouettes turned out to be a good fit for the project, and I’m exploring more ways to get mileage out of them in the full version. I’m polishing the story too, so I’ll definitely revisit the pacing. Interactivity is something I’d love to experiment with down the line, but for now I hope the immersion still comes through. Thanks again, the full story is coming very soon!
Very interesting! I definitely found myself hooked after a bit, and I am very curious to see more. I love the gritty almost noir style of the environments, and the symbolism behind the colors of the sprites? The sprite colors are so vibrant, it's like, we're looking at the character's souls themselves, not just their bodies. I'm assuming they're not placeholders XD
I quite like that stylistic design choice!
The dialogue was very well written too, it definitely made it all feel real. My only qualm is that it ended right as I was REALLY getting hooked and curious. Can't wait to see what else you develop for it! :>
Thank you for the kind comment. Glad to hear the plot landed well, a lot of work was put into it! The colored sprites were a sort of experiment, though I’m still trying to figure out if I like them haha.
Thanks for playing, I’m working on implementing the rest of the story, so I’m excited to share more soon!
